We are looking for an experienced Mitigation Supervisor to join our team You will be making an impact each day by responding to customer needs for Water and Fire Restoration jobs. This includes managing the completion of drying, demolition, and other restoration activities. 
You are IICRC certified with meaningful previous experience in cleaning/restoration. You hold yourself to a high standard and care deeply about the quality of your work and its impact on customers and your team. 
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating staff, equipment, supplies, and vehicles for emergency claims response.
  • Training new staff in administrative duties such as timesheet completion and form filling.
  • Conducting Toolbox meetings before tasks with crew.
  • Supervising and training Restoration Labourers and temporary staff on safe work practices.
  • Reviewing and executing tasks from Project Managers' and Content Manager's work orders.
  • Communicating concerns and updates with PM and clients.
  • Display empathy towards customers and direct questions to Project Manager as needed.
  • Perform and delegate emergency job tasks including packing, moving contents, tear-outs, removals, setup of equipment, cleaning, etc.
  • Collect samples of materials as required and document contents at job sites using Encircle.
  • Monitor and perform psychometrics using IICRC standards.
  • Use a power washer and water-extracting van as needed.
  • Secure job sites and ensure proper maintenance of equipment, tools, and PPE.
  • Participate in vehicle inspections and weekly mitigation training sessions.
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of necessary forms.
  • Maintain cleanliness of job sites and proper storage of equipment and supplies.
  • Respond to after-hour emergency claims on a rotational basis.
  • Follow all FGS safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean driver's abstract and ability to drive company vehicles.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the FGS health and safety program, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Ensure paperwork responsibilities are fulfilled, including near miss/catch cards, accident reports, inspection reports, hazard assessments, and toolbox meetings.
  • Stay informed of any new policies, procedures, or forms affecting duties.
  • Supporting with a variety of tasks and needs as they arise to ensure we are successful in all aspects.

Qualifications:
  • Proven 5-year experience in the restoration industry
  • IICRC certifications: WRT, FSRT, an asset: AMRT, ASD, OCT, TCST, Asbestos
  • Experience in residential, commercial and healthcare properties 
  • First Aid, CSTS, WHMIS certification
  • Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract
  • High school diploma/GED 
  • Criminal Record Check
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawls spaces, attics)
  • Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
  • Ability to work with/around cleaning products/chemicals
  • Ability to travel locally and out of state when necessary

Compensation: $ $30.00 per hour

The IICRC, originally named the International Institute of Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning Inc. (IICUC), was founded in 1972 by Ed York. Since starting in 1972, the IICRC has evolved into a global organization with more than 49,000 active Certified Technicians and more than 6,500 Certified Firms around the world.

The IICRC is managed by its Board of Directors, which is composed of 15 industry leaders elected by the IICRC's Shareholders. The Board of Directors' function is to represent the various interests of the applicants while leading the direction of the organization. The Board of Directors meets four times per year and is tasked with the responsibility of helping shape future policies of the organization and uphold the standards that help shape the industry.
