Fountain Tire Whitehorse is looking for a skilled and Licensed Automotive Service Technician to join our team

Duties:

Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer's vehicle

Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency

Completing approved service on customer vehicles

Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer's performance specifications

Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.

Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements

Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis

Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner

Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries

Requirements

Job Requirements:

Minimum 5 years experience and trade certificate is required

Licensed/Red Seal status in the Automotive Service Technician trade is/will be required

Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills required to provide mechanical service to our customers

A diagnostic specialist that enjoys keeping up with modern technology

The successful applicant will have strong written and verbal communication skills

Commitment to providing a superior customer experience

Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and provide a satisfactory driver's abstract from province of residence on an annual basis

Punctual

Able to work independent and part of a team

Able to lift 50 lbs

Willing to live in a northern community

Computer literate

A working knowledge of passenger and light truck tires, specialty tire services and wheels is an asset

A customer-service focus with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers

A keen attention to detail
