Job Summary:
We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our busy distribution center in Portland, Oregon. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Maintaining a safe and efficient workflow is paramount, and you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. A strong commitment to safety , including adherence to all PPE requirements and safe operating procedures, is essential. Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently to move materials.
  • Load and unload trucks and trailers.
  • Pick and stage orders accurately for shipment.
  • Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
  • Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
  • Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and put-away.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Wear required PPE at all times while operating equipment.
  • Follow all traffic rules and regulations within the facility.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid forklift operator certification.
  • Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
  • Ability to perform tasks that require physical stamina and occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong understanding of forklift operating safety protocols.
  • Excellent attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance.
