We are looking for a skilled and dependable Material Handler to join our logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within the warehouse, operating various equipment and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our facility. Your primary focus will be on loading, unloading, and transporting materials to designated areas. The ideal candidate possesses strong physical stamina, a keen understanding of warehouse operations, and a commitment to safety protocols. This is a critical position that supports our entire logistics network. You will be trained on specialized equipment and provided with all necessary PPE. This role requires consistent lifting and a proactive approach to maintaining an organized and safe working environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing materials.
- Transport materials to and from various departments within the warehouse.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated storage areas.
- Inspect equipment for safety issues before and after use.
- Ensure all materials are handled in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from hazards.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Wear required PPE at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift or equipment operator certification preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and logistics operations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
