Job Summary:
Join our growing logistics team in Madison, Wisconsin, as a Receiving Clerk! We are seeking a highly organized and vigilant individual to manage the inbound flow of goods into our distribution center. Your primary duties will include receiving deliveries, inspecting all incoming shipments for accuracy and damage, verifying contents against purchase orders, and ensuring all items are properly documented and staged for put-away. A meticulous approach and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures are crucial for this role. You will be a critical link in our supply chain, ensuring inventory accuracy from the moment goods arrive. Safety is paramount in our operations, and all Receiving Clerks must adhere to rigorous Safety standards and wear appropriate PPE. This position requires moderate to frequent Lifting of items, often weighing up to 50 lbs. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous. Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently and accurately process all incoming freight.
  • Inspect goods for any damage or discrepancies.
  • Verify received items against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
  • Segregate and stage received goods for internal departments.
  • Maintain a clean and safe receiving dock area.
  • Adhere to all company Safety policies and wear mandatory PPE.
  • Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment safely (certification may be required).
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments.
  • Assist with inventory control and cycle counting as needed.
