About
Our Richmond, Virginia location is looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This role is vital for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for tracking, tracing, and managing inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing improvements to our inventory management system. A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach are essential. You will work closely with warehouse associates, supervisors, and management to ensure that inventory data is accurate and up-to-date. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to identify trends and potential issues. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
- Generate inventory reports and analyze data.
- Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
- Identify and report damaged or expired goods.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse cleanliness and organization.
Requirements:
- Experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and attention to detail abilities.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and use of PPE.
