Are you detail-oriented and organized? Our busy logistics facility in Las Vegas, Nevada, is searching for a Receiving Clerk to manage the intake of all incoming goods. This crucial role involves accurately documenting, inspecting, and processing all incoming shipments, ensuring they match purchase orders and are free from damage. You will be the first point of contact for deliveries, and your accuracy directly impacts inventory management and overall warehouse efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming freight from various carriers.
- Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy.
- Document any discrepancies, damages, or shortages immediately.
- Enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS) promptly and accurately.
- Tag and prepare goods for distribution to appropriate warehouse areas.
- Coordinate with shipping departments to resolve receiving issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other receiving equipment.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with WMS is a plus.
- Ability to perform tasks that may involve moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple tasks.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must adhere to all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient receiving operation.
