Join our dynamic logistics team in Boston, Massachusetts, as a skilled Forklift Operator. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our distribution center. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods, from receiving raw materials to dispatching finished products. The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating various types of forklifts and a deep understanding of warehouse safety protocols. You must be proficient in inspecting and maintaining equipment, performing pre-shift checks, and adhering to all company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE. This role demands physical capability, including significant lifting and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment. We are seeking a reliable individual with strong attention to detail and a commitment to operational excellence. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners is highly advantageous. Your contribution is crucial to our logistics network's success.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload inventory.
- Stage materials for production and shipping.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from hazards.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, including cycle counts.
- Strictly adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE and safe lifting procedures.
- Follow detailed instructions for order picking and put-away.
- Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics operations.
