Seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our bustling warehouse in Huntsville, Alabama. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse. This role is critical to the smooth operation of our logistics hub, ensuring that goods are moved promptly and without damage. You will be operating various types of forklifts, so a proven track record of safe operation is essential. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, performing daily equipment checks, and adhering to all safety regulations are key aspects of this position. We pride ourselves on our commitment to safety, and all team members are expected to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. - Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and unstack pallets of goods.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by ensuring all movements are recorded.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow in our logistics operations.
- Perform tasks involving lifting of up to 70 pounds when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and safety best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of logistics and material handling principles.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including lifting.
