About
Our Chicago, Illinois facility is seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our essential logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count inventory. You will load and unload trucks, transport materials throughout the warehouse, and assist with order picking and stocking operations. Maintaining a safe work environment is paramount, and you must strictly adhere to all company safety policies, including proper forklift operation, hazard identification, and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires a valid forklift certification, a strong understanding of warehouse operations, and the ability to perform tasks involving regular lifting and physical demands. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, and possesses excellent spatial awareness. Key responsibilities include: Operating forklifts to move materials safely and efficiently. Loading and unloading trailers and containers. Transporting inventory to and from designated storage areas. Assisting with inventory cycle counts and stock checks. Performing routine checks on forklift equipment and reporting any issues. Maintaining a clean and organized work area. Adhering to all safety regulations, including safe lifting practices and the mandatory use of PPE. Contributing to the overall productivity and efficiency of our logistics operations. Experience with various types of forklifts and warehouse management systems is highly desirable. This is a vital role ensuring the smooth and safe movement of goods within our distribution center.
