About
We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama! This role is critical to the efficient operation of our warehouse and logistics network. You will be responsible for expertly operating forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload a wide variety of materials and products. Ensuring the safety of yourself, your colleagues, and the merchandise is paramount. You must strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and conduct thorough pre-operation equipment checks. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of warehouse operations, exceptional forklift skills, and a proven track record of safe operation. This position requires the ability to perform demanding physical tasks, including regular, substantial Lifting. Precision and attention to detail are vital for maintaining inventory accuracy and preventing damage to goods. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers accurately and securely.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Organize and stack materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including wearing required PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to achieve operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Forklift Operator certification and proven experience.
- Proficiency in operating sit-down, stand-up, and potentially reach forklifts.
- Ability to perform tasks involving heavy Lifting and maneuvering in tight spaces.
- Knowledge of warehouse logistics and safety protocols.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
