About
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Boston, Massachusetts. This leadership role is critical to overseeing the daily operations of our distribution center, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and a strong commitment to safety within our logistics network. You will manage a team, optimize workflows, and ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and order fulfillment operations.
- Ensure all warehouse operations are conducted safely and efficiently, minimizing risks and accidents.
- Implement and enforce all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE by all team members.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy through effective stock control measures.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow to improve efficiency and reduce costs within our logistics framework.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies for improvement.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.
- Communicate effectively with other departments, management, and external partners.
- Resolve any operational issues or conflicts that may arise within the team or operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team and motivate staff.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices, including comprehensive knowledge of PPE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Commitment to fostering a safe and productive work environment.
