Job Summary:
Are you a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator? We have an immediate opening for a talented individual to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our busy warehouse. Your expertise will ensure that inventory is stored correctly, moved to appropriate staging areas, and loaded/unloaded from trucks with precision. This role is crucial to our overall logistics operations, requiring a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to safety. Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up) to move, stack, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.
  • Safely transport inventory to and from designated areas, including receiving, storage, and shipping docks.
  • Perform daily inspections of forklifts and other equipment, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Adhere to all traffic rules and safety regulations within the warehouse facility.
  • Ensure proper use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Assist with receiving and put-away of incoming goods, verifying counts and condition.
  • Support picking and packing operations as needed, ensuring efficient material flow.
  • Participate in regular inventory checks and cycle counting procedures.
  • Follow all safe Lifting techniques and material handling best practices.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification. High school diploma or GED. Ability to perform physical tasks as required, including some manual Lifting. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus. Strong understanding of forklift operation safety and logistics. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
