About
We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our distribution center. This position is critical to our Logistics operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods throughout the warehouse. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a Safety -conscious environment. You will be required to perform daily equipment inspections and ensure all machinery is in good working order. Regular Lifting of items up to 50 lbs may be necessary when not operating the forklift. Adherence to all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE are mandatory. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation, excellent spatial awareness, and the ability to work effectively in a demanding environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
- Transport materials to designated locations within the warehouse.
- Stack and organize inventory accurately.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of forklifts.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE .
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Support overall warehouse operations and team goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Ability to perform pre-operation checks and basic maintenance.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Logistics environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to wear required PPE , including steel-toed boots and safety glasses.
