Join our dynamic team as a Material Handler in Des Moines, Iowa! This role is vital to the smooth operation of our warehouse, focusing on the movement, organization, and tracking of materials. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, stocking, and retrieving items from designated storage areas, ensuring that inventory is managed accurately and efficiently. Your role supports our overall Logistics network, ensuring that products are ready for distribution. We require attention to detail and a strong commitment to Safety in all tasks. Proper use of PPE is mandatory. You will be operating various types of equipment to move materials, and regular Lifting of heavy items is expected. This is a physically demanding role that requires stamina and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, hardworking, and eager to contribute to a productive team. You will play a key part in maintaining our warehouse standards and ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient material handling. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas.
- Stock and organize inventory within the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Pick and pack orders as needed.
- Conduct inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Assist with shipping and receiving operations.
- Ensure proper handling of all materials.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a material handling or warehouse role preferred.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Capability for heavy Lifting (up to 50-75 lbs).
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE .
- Good physical stamina and coordination.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of inventory management.
- Commitment to following all Logistics and Safety guidelines.
