Job Summary:
Our San Jose, California facility is looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records. This role is vital for optimizing warehouse operations, reducing discrepancies, and ensuring the availability of products for our customers. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory control procedures, conducting cycle counts, and investigating any variances. This position demands a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of warehouse logistics.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective inventory control procedures.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
  • Manage inventory data using warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Monitor stock levels and recommend reorder points to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Oversee the proper storage and organization of inventory within the warehouse.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Train warehouse staff on inventory management best practices and safety protocols.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and suggest improvements to operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated understanding of warehouse safety best practices.
  • Experience with inventory counting techniques.
