Exciting opportunity for an experienced Forklift Operator in Baltimore, Maryland! Our dynamic logistics center is seeking a certified professional to manage the movement of goods within our facility. You will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to transport raw materials, finished products, and other items. This role is critical for maintaining the flow of inventory and supporting production and shipping schedules. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to Safety are paramount. You must be proficient in pre-operation checks and routine maintenance of your assigned equipment. We require strict adherence to all company Safety policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves considerable physical activity, including significant Lifting and maneuvering of materials. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move inventory to and from storage areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report any issues.
- Follow all Safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support team members with material handling needs.
- Ensure accurate placement of goods within the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification and clean driving record.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Commitment to using PPE and following Safety protocols.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed.
