Seeking a skilled Material Handler for our Los Angeles, California facility. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This includes receiving, storing, and distributing inventory, ensuring smooth operations and timely order fulfillment. Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles.
- Move materials to and from production areas, storage locations, and shipping docks.
- Receive incoming goods, inspect for damage, and verify against shipping documents.
- Stock inventory in designated racking or floor locations.
- Pick materials for internal use or customer orders.
- Ensure all equipment is operated safely and performs regular checks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to housekeeping standards.
- Follow all safety regulations and protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control activities and cycle counting.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 70 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with a team.
- Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
- Commitment to following all safety guidelines and using required PPE.
