We're looking for a dedicated Picker/Packer in Virginia Beach, Virginia, to join our expanding logistics team. In this role, you will be instrumental in fulfilling customer orders by accurately picking items and preparing them for shipment. Your attention to detail and efficiency will directly impact customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Retrieve items from inventory based on pick lists or order details.
- Inspect items for damage and accuracy before packing.
- Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Assemble boxes and package orders with care and efficiency.
- Apply shipping labels and documentation accurately.
- Utilize warehouse equipment like RF scanners to track inventory.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of your work area.
- Assist with inventory control, such as cycle counting.
- Follow all company safety protocols and directives, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Support the broader logistics team by performing other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in picking, packing, or general warehousing is a plus.
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Capacity to lift up to 40 lbs consistently.
- Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Dedication to safety standards and proper PPE usage.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to our logistics success.
