We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our growing team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position is crucial for the efficient and safe movement of materials within our distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will load and unload trailers, assist in order picking and replenishment, and maintain accurate inventory records. Your role is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that goods are handled properly and efficiently. Safety is our top priority, and all operators must strictly adhere to all safety regulations, including proper training, maintenance checks on equipment, and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role requires the ability to perform manual lifting of items up to 50 pounds when not operating the forklift. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring proper securing of loads.
- Assist with order picking and replenishment of stock.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and warehouse procedures.
- Wear and use required PPE at all times.
- Perform lifting tasks as needed, up to 50 pounds.
- Support the overall logistics and material handling functions of the warehouse.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
