We are hiring a dedicated Warehouse Associate for our facility in Washington, D.C. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a critical role in the daily operations of our logistics hub. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including receiving and stocking inventory, picking and packing orders, preparing shipments, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the warehouse. This position requires a proactive individual who can work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. We place a strong emphasis on workplace safety, ensuring all employees are trained on and adhere to safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The role involves significant physical activity, including lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods. Familiarity with warehouse equipment and a commitment to operational excellence are highly valued. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Stock received goods into designated storage areas using appropriate equipment.
- Accurately pick products based on order specifications.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling and staging.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment safely (certification may be required/provided).
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior warehouse or distribution center experience is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours if required.
