Our San Jose, California facility is looking for a certified Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. Your proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and your commitment to safety protocols will be crucial to this role. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock organization.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to all safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) when necessary.
- Strong understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Excellent knowledge of forklift safety procedures and best practices.
- Commitment to wearing all required PPE and following safety guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
