About
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Durham, North Carolina. This position involves the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to manage the movement of goods within our warehouse facility. You will play a key role in ensuring timely receiving, accurate stocking, and prompt shipping of products. A strong emphasis on safety, attention to detail, and operational efficiency is required for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, lift, stack, and unstack materials and products.
- Load and unload trailers and containers with accuracy and care.
- Transport goods to and from various warehouse locations.
- Perform routine checks on forklift equipment to ensure operational readiness and safety.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification.
- Familiarity with various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach).
- Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices and logistics operations.
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
