Job Summary:
We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator to join our bustling warehouse operations in Chicago, Illinois. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring smooth logistics and timely handling of inventory. You will operate various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, to load and unload trucks, move products between storage areas, and assist with order fulfillment. Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
  • Load and unload trailers and containers.
  • Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
  • Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition and report any defects.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of PPE.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and stock rotation.
  • Follow all instructions from supervisors regarding product handling and placement.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the logistics team.

Requirements:
  • Valid Forklift Operator certification or license.
  • Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices and procedures.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to upholding safety standards and wearing appropriate PPE.
