Job Summary:
We are looking for a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our bustling warehouse in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, unload, and store materials within the facility. This role is vital to our daily logistics operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our warehouse. You will be expected to maintain equipment, adhere to all safety regulations, and contribute to a productive work environment. Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move pallets and materials.
  • Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
  • Store and retrieve inventory from designated warehouse locations.
  • Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs promptly.
  • Follow all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and locations.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including order picking and packing.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Ensure safe stacking and storage of goods, paying attention to weight limits and stability.
  • Perform other tasks related to logistics and warehouse operations as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid forklift operator certification. Proven experience operating various types of forklifts. Strong understanding of warehouse operations and Safety procedures. Ability to perform physical tasks, including regular Lifting (up to 50 lbs). Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic. Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus. Knowledge of proper PPE usage. This role is critical for our logistics efficiency.
