Job Summary:
Our growing company in Provo, Utah is looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to maintain the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This critical role involves monitoring stock levels, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize errors. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of inventory management principles. You will play a vital part in our supply chain and logistics operations, ensuring that our clients receive exactly what they order, on time.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by tracing receipts, shipments, and stock movements.
  • Implement and maintain robust inventory control procedures to prevent loss and damage.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement in our logistics processes.
  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory records in our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor stock rotation (e.g., FIFO/LIFO) to ensure product freshness and reduce obsolescence.
  • Coordinate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels, turns, and accuracy for management review.
  • Support receiving and shipping departments with inventory-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in inventory control or a similar role within a warehouse environment.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs) as part of inventory checks.
  • Understanding of safety protocols, including the use of necessary PPE.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
