About
Akima Systems Engineering (ASE) is looking for a Systems Administrator (Compliance) to work in Honolulu, HI. The Compliance Administrator plays a pivotal role in supporting the computer network defense (CND) program by administering the Nessus Security Manager suite of products (ACAS). This position ensures the optimal functioning of all Nessus appliances, conducting ongoing monitoring, maintenance, and necessary upgrades to maintain a high level of compliance. Responsibilities: Manages and administers Nessus Security Manager, scanners, and Network Monitor, configuring and maintaining these tools, and troubleshooting issues. Proactively analyzes system deficiencies, recommends engineering solutions, and resolves complex problems. Monitors cybersecurity alerts and task orders, ensuring swift communication and action on compliance?related issues. Conducts continuous assessments of cybersecurity posture using tools like ACAS, CMRS, ESS, C2C, and Splunk SIEM, and collaborates closely with other cybersecurity professionals to ensure effective compliance strategies are in place. Facilitates audit preparations, stays updated on cybersecurity trends, and develops training programs on compliance and Nessus usage. Maintains STIG compliance, reviews service tickets, develops Certified Network Defender (CND) workflows in ServiceNow, and ensures all systems meet DoD PKI requirements. Regularly reports on accomplishments, issues, and suggestions for improvements.
Qualifications: Active TS/SCI clearance. IAW DoDM?8410.03, must meet intermediate proficiency level. Must possess ONE of the following 8570 IAM?II certifications: CAP (Certified Authorization Professional), CASP+?CE, CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), CISSP (or Associate), GSLC (GIAC Security Leadership Certification), CCISO (Certified Chief Information Security Officer), HCISPP (Healthcare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner). Must have one or more relevant Certified Network Defender (CND) certifications: CISSP, CASP, OSCP, CySA+, CEH, or GCIH. Minimum high school diploma/GED. At least four years of Core Skills for Work Developmental Framework (CSFW) system or network administration experience. Expert?level knowledge of Windows operating systems and working knowledge of Linux operating systems. Certifications a plus. Experience identifying and applying applicable security requirements (STIGS, IAVAs, and CTOs) to DoD systems. Prefer at least one year of experience with Nessus Security Manager (ACAS) administration. Demonstrated strong analytical and problem?solving skills. ACAS administrator certification required in the first 60 days of employment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. May require after?hours and weekend work to manage service outages.
Desired Qualifications: Splunk or other SIEM experience preferred.
