We are searching for a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the outbound shipping process, ensuring all orders are accurately documented, packed, and dispatched according to schedule. You will interact with carriers, prepare shipping labels, verify shipping information, and maintain shipping records. Your role is crucial in ensuring our customers receive their orders on time and in perfect condition. We foster a culture of Safety and provide all necessary training and PPE . - Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Prepare and affix accurate shipping labels and documentation to packages.
- Verify order details against shipping manifests and packing slips.
- Ensure all packages meet carrier requirements for size, weight, and handling.
- Operate shipping software and warehouse management systems.
- Maintain organized and accurate shipping records.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners regarding shipping status.
- Perform quality checks on outgoing shipments.
- Maintain a clean and orderly shipping area.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety protocols and the mandated use of appropriate PPE .
Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role is highly preferred. Proficiency with shipping software (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS) and warehouse management systems is a plus. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 30 lbs. High school diploma or equivalent required.
