We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our bustling San Antonio, Texas distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in the movement of goods within our facility, ensuring efficient handling and staging of inventory. Your primary responsibilities will include operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials, as well as assisting with inventory management and order fulfillment. Safety is our top priority, and we require all operators to adhere strictly to safety guidelines and maintain their equipment properly. This position demands proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and a solid understanding of warehouse safety protocols. You must be comfortable working in a dynamic logistics environment and have the ability to perform tasks involving lifting. We provide comprehensive training on our specific equipment and procedures, along with all necessary PPE to ensure your safety. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and into storage areas.
- Stack and retrieve inventory from various heights.
- Transport materials to and from production, processing, or shipping areas.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after each shift, reporting any issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock organization.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, ensuring aisles and exits are clear.
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform tasks involving lifting and significant physical activity.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory management principles.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
