Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and interpret pick orders via handheld scanners or paper lists.
- Accurately locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse storage locations.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order specifications.
- Stage picked items at designated packing or shipping stations.
- Ensure careful handling of all merchandise to prevent damage.
- Assist with basic packing and labeling duties as needed.
- Maintain an organized and clutter-free work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Operate manual and powered equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily order fulfillment targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 45 lbs.
- Strong sense of accuracy and commitment to detail.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and logistics.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow all safety procedures.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for the duration of the shift.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
