Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and motivated Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Material Handler will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the movement and organization of materials within our distribution center. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient flow of goods, from receiving to dispatch. You will work closely with other warehouse associates to maintain inventory accuracy and support operational goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a reputable logistics company.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, identify, and sort incoming materials and products.
  • Load and unload trucks and containers using appropriate equipment.
  • Move materials from receiving areas to storage locations, or to production/packaging areas.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining accurate stock records.
  • Prepare materials for shipment, including packing, labeling, and staging.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all warehouse safety regulations.
  • Inspect equipment before use and report any maintenance needs.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, especially concerning safety protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred.
  • Ability to perform heavy Lifting, typically up to 50 pounds, regularly.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be willing to wear appropriate PPE.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
