Exciting opportunity for a skilled Forklift Operator in the vibrant heart of New York City, New York! Our busy logistics center requires a motivated individual to expertly maneuver forklifts and manage the flow of goods. This role is vital for ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our warehouse operations, from receiving raw materials to dispatching finished products. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload merchandise. A strong emphasis on safety is critical; you must adhere to all company policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position demands precision and a keen eye for detail to ensure the integrity of inventory and prevent any damage. The ideal candidate will possess excellent forklift operation skills, a solid understanding of warehouse logistics, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including significant Lifting. You will work collaboratively with the warehouse team to maintain a clean, organized, and highly productive environment. Regular inspection of equipment and prompt reporting of maintenance issues are also key duties. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload delivery trucks and containers with precision.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of warehouse aisles and loading docks.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock put-away.
- Meet productivity targets while ensuring accuracy.
- Coordinate with team members and supervisors to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certified Forklift Operator with verifiable experience.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Physical ability to handle regular Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and logistics best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
