About
We are seeking dedicated Distribution Center Associates for our Columbus, Ohio facility. This role is key to the smooth operation of our distribution network, involving a wide range of warehouse activities from receiving and stocking to order picking and preparing for shipment. You will be an integral part of our logistics team, ensuring that products move efficiently and accurately through our facility. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Stock and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Accurately pick items from inventory to fulfill customer orders.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification may be required).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all guidelines.
- Participate in inventory management tasks, including cycle counting and reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, especially regarding safety and the use of PPE .
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet operational goals.
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Proficiency in operating various warehouse equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices and the importance of PPE .
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Understanding of logistics principles and supply chain operations.
Requirements:
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety regulations and mandatory PPE requirements.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime or weekends.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
