We are seeking a diligent and organized Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Los Angeles, California. The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of incoming shipments, ensuring all goods are received, inspected, and documented correctly. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the smooth flow of operations within our busy warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding safety standards. You will work closely with vendors, shipping companies, and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues. Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage and verify quantities against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Accurately record received goods into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label received items as per established procedures.
- Communicate any discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with the unloading of trucks and trailers as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Support inventory control initiatives by ensuring accurate receiving data.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment preferred.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with WMS or inventory software is a plus.
- Ability to perform manual lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of relevant safety protocols.
