Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up) to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport inventory to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated locations, ensuring stability and safety.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working order.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock placement.
- Follow all logistics and site-specific procedures.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and equipment gauges.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Physical ability to climb on and off equipment and perform some lifting.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems.
- Understanding of logistics flow.
