We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this essential role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and proper handling. Your responsibilities will include unloading shipments, verifying documentation against received items, inspecting for damage, and accurately entering data into our inventory management system. A strong commitment to safety and operational efficiency is crucial. You will work closely with our warehouse associates to ensure a smooth flow of inventory. This position is fundamental to maintaining accurate stock levels and supporting our overall logistics network. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks.
- Verify packing slips and purchase orders against received goods.
- Inspect incoming inventory for any damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system.
- Stage received goods for put-away by other team members.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Communicate any receiving issues or concerns to management.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Capable of moderate lifting up to 40 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is beneficial.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and data entry skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Basic math skills.
