In this critical role, you will lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and adherence to all company policies. Responsibilities include managing workflow, optimizing space utilization, enforcing safety standards, and maintaining inventory accuracy. Your leadership will be instrumental in upholding our commitment to excellent logistics service. A thorough understanding of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control, is essential. You must ensure all team members consistently use the required PPE and follow all safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment. This role may involve occasional heavy lifting and requires a strong physical presence. We are looking for individuals with excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff.
- Set daily goals and monitor team performance to ensure productivity targets are met.
- Ensure efficient workflow in all warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Implement and enforce all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring proper use of PPE .
- Conduct regular safety training and audits.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Train and mentor new employees.
- Resolve operational issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency within the logistics framework.
- Assist with tasks requiring lifting and physical labor when necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team and drive performance.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety regulations and experience enforcing them, including PPE usage.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting and other physical tasks.
