About
We are looking for a skilled Warehouse Technician to maintain and optimize operations at our Des Moines, Iowa facility. This role is essential for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our warehouse equipment and infrastructure, directly impacting our logistics capabilities. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing machinery, and ensuring all equipment meets safety standards. This includes a wide range of warehouse equipment, from conveyor systems to automated storage solutions. A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is crucial. Maintaining a safe working environment is paramount; you will enforce all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe operating procedures for all equipment. The ability to diagnose issues, implement effective solutions, and work independently is highly valued. While not directly involved in constant lifting, the role may require occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on all warehouse equipment.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and the work environment.
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance and repair activities.
- Respond to equipment malfunction calls promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
- Wear and use required PPE appropriate for maintenance tasks.
- Assist with installation and setup of new equipment.
- Contribute to optimizing warehouse operations and logistics efficiency.
