This position requires an experienced and safety-conscious individual to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within our distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in the efficient flow of materials and products throughout the warehouse. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, to transport goods to and from storage areas, loading docks, and production lines. Maintaining a safe operating environment is paramount, and all operators must adhere strictly to safety guidelines, including pre-operational checks of equipment and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including significant lifting, is also part of the role. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Store and retrieve inventory from various rack levels.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper scanning and data entry.
- Follow all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE and safe lifting procedures.
- Assist with inventory control tasks and cycle counting.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
