About
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in school settings and a strong background in pediatrics. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in children, with a focus on early intervention strategies to support their development. The Speech Language Pathologist will collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to create effective treatment plans tailored to each child's needs.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities in pediatric patients.
* Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs.
* Provide direct speech therapy services to children with communication disorders.
* Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
* Collaborate with teachers and parents to implement strategies that support communication skills in the classroom and at home.
* Educate families about speech and language development, as well as the importance of early intervention.
* Maintain accurate records of patient care and adhere to medical terminology standards.
* Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech therapy and pediatric care.
*Requirements*
* Masterβs degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
* Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
* Previous experience in a school setting is highly preferred.
* Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech and language disorders.
* Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in early intervention settings.
* Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to develop effective treatment plans.
* Strong communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and educational staff.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
