About
We are seeking a dedicated Desktop & Network Support Technician (Tier 1) to provide essential IT support within our organization. This role involves delivering technical assistance to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a customer service-oriented mindset, and a solid foundation in IT support and network administration. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting various operating systems and IT infrastructure components.
*Duties*
* Provide first-level technical support to end-users via help desk platforms such as Datto & Autotask
* Troubleshoot software issues across multiple operating systems including Windows and macOS,
* Manage and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, and printers
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates and data backups.
* Support network connectivity issues related to LAN, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewall configurations including Meraki devices
* Configure and support Active Directory accounts and permissions
* Low voltage work such as running copper and fiber optic cables
* Document incidents, resolutions, and procedures accurately for future reference
* Collaborate with senior IT staff on infrastructure projects
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience in technical support or desktop support roles with knowledge of computer hardware and software troubleshooting
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, GPOs, SCCM, DNS, TCP/IP protocols, VPNs, firewalls (including Meraki), and network administration concepts
* Experience supporting macOS operating systems is a plus
* Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components such as LAN/WAN networks, & TCP/IP protocols
* Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
* Ability to analyze issues efficiently using analysis skills to identify root causes quickly
* Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) are advantageous

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
