Bakery Sales Associate

This is a career opportunity in sales and inventory management. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to ensure that our bakery, coffee, and juice products are well-stocked and merchandised.

In this role, you will be responsible for replenishing products through proper buying procedures, monitoring and acting upon open PO reports for both purchases and credits in an accurate and timely manner, requesting and ensuring proper signage, controlling spoilage/shrink; achieving turn goals; participating in inventory, completing spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required, ensuring orders for product are timely and accurate to monitor inventory turns, maintaining positive working relationship with vendors, overseeing customer special order procedure, analyzing and controlling product transfers, waste, and spoilage, supporting leadership in conducting inventories, maintaining financial profitability by meeting and exceeding purchasing and sales targets, providing excellent customer service, addressing needs of customers in a timely and effective manner, and modeling suggestive selling techniques, answering phones and pages promptly and courteously, maximizing sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product, following and complying, or ensuring compliance, with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices, maintaining, or ensuring maintenance of, a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment, maintaining equipment in accordance with WFM cleanliness and safety standards, performing opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned, ensuring accuracy of signs and pricing, immediately reporting safety hazards and violations, and performing other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.
