Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in San Jose, California. This role is critical to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, ensuring smooth operations and timely order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of inventory management principles and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and efficiency. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, reconciling inventory records, and implementing strategies to minimize stockouts and overstock situations. Your expertise will directly contribute to the overall success of our supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure data accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by analyzing records and conducting audits.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Track and report on inventory levels, stock rotation, and product movement.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff, purchasing, and sales teams to resolve inventory issues.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of all inventory items, adhering to safety regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role within a logistics or warehouse environment.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
