We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our busy warehouse in Kansas City, Missouri. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our logistics facility. You will load and unload trucks, transport materials between different areas of the warehouse, and assist with inventory management. A strong commitment to safety is paramount, and all operators must strictly adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves significant physical activity, including regular Lifting of up to 50 pounds. Experience with various types of forklifts and a proven track record of safe operation are essential. We value reliability, efficiency, and a strong work ethic. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas.
- Stack and unstack pallets and materials.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Follow all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and checks as needed.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator.
- Excellent knowledge of forklift operating procedures and safety.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 50 pounds).
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and good judgment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
