About
- Four-year Honours Bachelors degree (BA); Bachelor of Social Work degree (BSW); or Indigenous degree would be an asset.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have completed the Child Welfare Pathway to Authorization Series and/or are Authorized workers.
- Over one year and up to and including three years experience in child welfare preferred.
- Knowledge of the Differential Response Model for Child Protection in Ontario; the Child, Youth and Family Services Act; Ministry standards and guidelines in the area of Children in Care and Licensing Standards, and Adoption Services is essential.
- Knowledge of Signs of Safety Framework of client engagement.
- Strong knowledge of community resources.
- An understanding of social casework principles as they relate to service delivery to children, adolescents and families in both an individual and group format.
- Strong assessment skills in order to assess clients needs, formulate plans of service and monitor/evaluate progress.
- Preference will be given to persons with a strong understanding and extensive experience working with other cultures, heritages and traditions.
- A commitment to developing the highest quality culturally-responsive service possible for the various communities that we serve.
- Computer and keyboarding skills.
- The ability to communicate in French is an asset.
- A valid driver's license and use of a reliable personal vehicle.

We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who are elected from within the community. Programs and services are developed in response to the needs of children, youth, and families in our community.
