The Role Ā
We're seeking a Project Engineer to join our Calgary team and drive execution across technical, compliance, and coordination workflows. This role is central to scaling CURA's pilot and demonstration projects, ensuring technical excellence while aligning stakeholders and timelines.
Key Responsibilities- Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution for pilot and demonstration systems
- Ensure CURA's projects are delivered on time and on schedule
- Manage CURA's APEGA Permit to Practice, ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards
- Prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and manage procurement processes
- Review proposals and contracts, ensuring clarity, compliance, and alignment with CURA's mission
- Ensure project deliverables meet expectations in terms of quality, scope, and performance
- Coordinate across engineering, operations, and external partners to ensure alignment
- Monitor budgets, timelines, and deliverables, proactively addressing risks and gaps
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Translate technical requirements into actionable workflows and documentation
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and systems as CURA scales
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or related discipline)
- 5ā8 years of experience in project engineering or project management in industrial/cleantech sectors
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Alberta
- Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent)
- Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to align diverse stakeholders
- Familiarity with industrial compliance and safety standards
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, or similar)
- Passion for sustainability and industrial decarbonization
