The role also ensures new prospective customers receive the highest standards in fleet advice and customer care.This senior leadership role will be instrumental in leading and managing the Corporate & Strategic Sales Channel on a national basis for all new business opportunities. In doing so, the role makes a significant contribution to the achievement of the VWFS Fleet Business growth plans by winning new customers and growing the PortfolioWhat you'll be doing:Lead "multi-level" customer relationships including leading meetings and presentations up to and including C Suite contacts at FTSE 250 companies to support current and future performanceSupport Fleet Department strategy development activity and regular responsibility for leading proposition development projectsAchieve ambitious sales, profit and objectives as agreed with the Head of Fleet Sales for existing strategic and corporate businessSupport the effective bids and tenders process of new business clients by ensuring a professional and structured response to new business opportunitiesDevelop and execute an annual sales plan for all relevant channels; balancing ambition and strategic planning disciplines to ensure smart profitable year-on-year growthProvide senior level sponsorship for strategic prospects, supporting high value sales opportunities and acting as a point of resolution for client escalations to ensure optimum customer experienceEngage, train, develop, motivate and lead the Strategic Sales Managers and Corporate Business Development Managers to ensure the achievement of agreed national targets through regular team and individual performance meetingsSupport the effective implementation of new business clients by ensuring a professional and structured implementation processMeasure and control fleet spend by sales channel to ensure sales targets are delivered in line with budgetWhat you'll bring:You'll be an experienced sales leader within the fleet/financial services industry.You'll also have experience of managing a remote field-based sales team with a proven track record of success. Essential experience & skillsAbility to build effective relationships and successfully negotiate at Board of Director level across complicated organisational structures including our customer base, VWG and VWFSAbility to understand the Master Lease Agreement with excellent commercial acumenHigh level of interpersonal, influencing and communication skillsStrong Leadership and coaching skillsStrong drive and tenacity to achieve targets and results The ability to train, develop and motivate sales teams Strong organisation and planning skills, delivering high quality output to deadlines.Professional and credible with proven stakeholder management abilityA strategic thinker who is action orientated with the ability to produce initiatives quickly to ensure maintained competitiveness in the vehicle solutions market (Contract Hire & related Value Added Products)What's in it for you?Company Bonus: Discretionary 10% on-target bonus (based on personal and Group company performance)Sales Bonus: Opportunity to earn up to an additional £21k per annum based on meeting key performance metricsPension: Employer pension contribution of 9% (based on employee contribution of 3%).
