About

*Central Wrench is recruiting a full-time Heavy Duty Mechanic (Commercial Transport Mechanic) to support our maintenance shop - located in Duncan. If you are looking for a new challenge working with a small team …this may be the opportunity for you! *
Working as part of the Central Wrench Team you will be completing duties related to the repair and maintenance of a variety of fleet vehicles including the following tasks:
· Diagnosis/inspection: communicating with customers and/or road testing, performing related diagnostic testing (computerized & manual), detailing all related issues
· Technical repairs: perform all related vehicle repairs as required ensuring excellence in workmanship and quality.
· Customer Service: liaise with customers regarding work performed
· Shop Related: general housekeeping, inspection of shop supplies, assisting in other areas as needed.
What you will bring to Central Wrench:
* Certified Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic/Commercial Transport Mechanic
* A valid Class 5 Driver's License (Class 1 or 3 with air would be considered an asset)
* Possessing a gas mechanic ticket (may also be considered)
* Authorized inspector certificate (considered an asset)
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Ability to self-direct workload
* Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
* Skilled in prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Strong communication skills with both customers and teammates
* Reliability and organization
* Ability to operate customer and company vehicles safely
* Pride in your work
* Energy and enthusiasm
* Willing to work weekends or nights if necessary
