We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move materials around our facility. Your primary duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from storage areas, and ensuring that inventory is accurately located. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring the smooth flow of products through our supply chain. We prioritize a safe working environment and expect all team members to adhere strictly to safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items throughout the warehouse.
- Stack and stage products for shipment or further processing.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating the WMS.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in regular safety training sessions.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, such as sweeping, tidying, and organizing.
- Contribute to a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment.
