Job description

The Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector is responsible for direct examination of all products under warranty and products that failed in-house to ensure that the quality being reworked are within legislation and customer specifications. Responsible for the maintenance of prescribed quantity and quality of product being reworked. Other responsibilities include troubleshooting machine basic performance, making adjustments and calling for additional resources as required.

Main Duties:

  • Follow work instructions and procedures.
  • Complete all assigned Quality checks based on rework instructions provided.
  • Perform random inspection as assigned.
  • Participate in training and cross training, improvement initiatives including health and safety and quality improvement.
  • Adhere to all workplace safety policies, compliance's and regulations.
  • Use all required safety equipment, e.g. Steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses / goggles, etc.
  • Other duties that maybe assigned.

Employment requirements:

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Experienced machine operator preferred.
  • Must have practical experience using conventional inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, height gages, Go/No-Go gages, Bore Gages.
  • Must have experience performing Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIR)
  • Must be trained or have practical experience with GD&T
  • Highly punctual with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • CMM Experience highly desirable
  • Experience or past training in Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI)
  • Must have knowledge and experience with computer based applications including email, excel and word documents.
  • Ability to work independently in a busy environment or as a member of a team.
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
